FigLeaf stands for privacy — for everyone. Lenovo has partnered with FigLeaf to bring you intelligent privacy control for your device. With Lenovo Privacy Essentials by FigLeaf, you have everything you need to be private online — site by site through a single app.

Our Mission

We’re focused on making privacy a choice — for everyone. And we’re doing that by giving you complete control over your personal information as you do what you love online, all through a single app that works everywhere. We believe that everyone needs and deserves privacy. But we also recognize that privacy is different for everyone. Sometimes you want to keep your personal info hidden. Other times you’re happy to share. With FigLeaf, you always have a choice.

Privacy Promise

We believe that when privacy is a choice, humanity is free. Free to think, to create, to explore and to lead us forward. We don’t want anonymity. Rather, we want the choice to be private some of the time. We want to be known and recognized for the good we bring, but we also need personal time to think and create without someone looking over our shoulders.

It is with this belief the Lenovo Privacy Essentials team has adopted a “Privacy by Design” philosophy. We promise to only gather your personal information when you choose to share it with us. We have also developed our systems to be “Zero-Knowledge”, where only you hold the key to your data. Without your key, no one can access any of your personal data – not even us.

Even with your permission to gather personal details, we pledge to use only anonymized data and only to provide you with a more beneficial product experience. Your personal behavior on our website or how you use our app will never be tied to you individually. When we send messages to you, it will be to alert you about what new features we have built for you, the status of your product and your purchase – and no more. Only the tiniest bit of info is needed to make Lenovo Privacy Essentials work. For everything else, we ask for your permission.

Everything is encrypted

Your data is encrypted on our servers and on your device. To decrypt it, Lenovo Privacy Essentials needs your password and Security Key — and only you know them.

Your permission is a rule

If we ever need some info to help with a transaction, we’ll ask for it first. You’re always in control of what you share with us.

Privacy and Syncing Lenovo Privacy Essentials with another instance of Lenovo Privacy Essentials.
Lenovo Privacy Essentials supports using your account on multiple devices - device syncing , whereby an LPE user may synchronize her personal data within LPE with another device which runs LPE. If you download a second copy of LPE and log in with the same account credentials the device sync feature will synchronize your personal data, the Lenovo Privacy Essentials Privacy Notice governs your relationship.

Lenovo Privacy Essential by FigLeaf supports using your account on multiple devices, including device syncing with an instance of the FigLeaf App - cross-product device syncing, whereby an LPE user may synchronize her personal data from LPE with another device which runs an instance of FigLeaf App. The FigLeaf App supports additional operating systems and device platforms. If you download a FigLeaf App and log in with your LPE account credentials the cross-product sync feature will synchronize your personal data, the Lenovo Privacy Essentials Privacy Notice and FigLeaf Privacy Policy govern your relationship as joint controllers.

Removing Consent

Our Privacy Notice spells out exactly what data we collect and how we use it as you engage with the Lenovo Privacy Essentials by FigLeaf app and browser extension. If you’d like to withdraw your consent to the Lenovo Privacy Essentials by FigLeaf Privacy Notice, please contact Customer Support with your intent to do so.
